Vehicle Fitment

  • 2012-2021 Nissan GT-R R35 (DBA chassis) - All Trims including Base, Premium, Black Edition, and 50th Anniversary Edition (US market)
  • 2011-Present Nissan GT-R R35 (EBA chassis) - All Trims (Rest of World market)

Fitment Notes

  • This is the FRONT RIGHT disc ring only (single unit). The corresponding front LEFT is Alcon DKF2222X758C24L. Both rotors are sold together as a pair under Alcon PN DKF2222X758C24L/R.
  • Fits Gen 2 Nissan GT-R R35 (DBA/EBA chassis, 2012+ US / 2011+ RoW) only. Does NOT fit the Gen 1 GT-R R35 (CBA chassis, 2009-2011 US / 2007-2010 RoW) - the Gen 1 front rotor is 380x34mm (Alcon PN DKF2222X756C24L/R).
  • This is a disc ring replacement only - it does not include the OEM centre hat/bell. The Alcon rotor ring mounts to the factory Nissan GT-R OEM hat using the hardware included in the kit, making it a direct OE service replacement without requiring new hats.
  • Compatible with the OEM Nissan/Brembo 6-piston front calipers fitted to the Gen 2 GT-R R35. Does not require caliper modification or spacers.
  • Not compatible with the 2017+ GT-R Nismo, which uses a different front brake specification. Verify the Nismo-specific part number if applicable.
  • Installation time is approximately 2-3 hours with the provided Alcon installation guide. No cutting, drilling, or custom fabrication required.

Features

  • Manufactured from Alcon's proprietary special iron alloy using a motorsport-grade vertical casting process - the same metallurgy and casting method used in the Alcon disc rings supplied to professional Nismo GT Academy racing teams competing in IMSA, Grand Am, and 24-hour endurance events including the Dubai 24 Hour. The "Endurance" designation reflects a disc compound engineered specifically for sustained high-thermal loads, not short-duration drag brake performance.
  • Alcon C-Groove (Crescent Groove) face pattern replaces the OEM cross-drilled design - the curved crescent-shaped slots provide initial bite and continuously refresh the pad friction surface throughout the brake event, preventing gas and debris accumulation between pad and disc. Unlike straight slots or cross-drilling, the crescent geometry maintains continuous rotor contact area across the slot path, reducing thermal distortion and brake judder under sustained heavy use.
  • 48 directionally curved internal cooling vanes create continuous airflow through the rotor during operation - the curved vane geometry generates suction and turbulence to pull cool air through the disc rather than relying on passive airflow alone, delivering up to 30% better cooling efficiency than OEM rotors under the same conditions.
  • Alcon floating disc system allows the disc ring to expand freely on its mounting hardware during thermal cycling - as the rotor heats and cools through repeated track brake events, the float prevents the disc from transferring thermal stress to the hat or generating the rotor distortion that causes brake judder and pulsation on fixed disc designs.
  • CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) surface machining on the friction faces produces a superior surface finish compared to conventional grinding - the result is faster and more consistent pad bed-in, reduced running noise, and better rotor-to-pad contact from initial installation.
  • Lateral runout held within 0.03mm and rotor balance maintained within 2-gram variation - tighter tolerances than OEM specification, contributing to vibration-free braking feel and consistent pedal response under repeated high-speed stops.
  • Expected service life 2-3x longer than OEM disc rings under comparable use conditions - the Alcon iron alloy provides superior resistance to thermal cracking, a common failure mode on the OEM cross-drilled rotors when used on track. The OEM drilled design concentrates stress at drill hole edges under repeated thermal cycling; the Alcon crescent groove distributes stress across a continuous arc with no stress risers.
  • Direct OE replacement - mounts to the existing Nissan GT-R OEM hat using the included Alcon hardware, maintaining the factory 2-piece floating rotor architecture without requiring new bells or custom adapters. Fully serviceable: replacement disc rings are available separately when the friction surface wears, allowing the hat to be reused.

Product Description

The Alcon DKF2222X758C24R is a front right OE replacement disc ring for the 2012-2021 Nissan GT-R R35 (Gen 2 DBA/EBA chassis), part of Alcon's Endurance series of motorsport-grade rotor replacements. It is a disc ring only - it mounts directly to the factory Nissan GT-R OEM hat using the included Alcon hardware, retaining the two-piece floating architecture of the stock brake system while replacing the friction ring with a component engineered to a substantially higher performance and durability standard.

Alcon's involvement on the GT-R platform is well established: the exact casting designs used in the DKF2222X758C24R series have been raced by Nismo GT Academy teams in IMSA, Grand Am, and the Dubai 24 Hour, where the disc's resistance to thermal cracking and consistent performance over extended brake events are what the application demands. The OEM Nissan cross-drilled discs, while adequate for street use, concentrate thermal stress at drill hole edges under sustained track conditions - a failure mode that Alcon's C-Groove pattern eliminates by using continuous curved slots that distribute stress without creating stress risers or interrupting the rotor face.

The 48 directionally curved internal cooling vanes - compared to the OEM pillar vane design - generate active airflow through the disc under load, improving thermal evacuation by up to 30%. The floating disc system allows the ring to expand thermally without transferring distortion force to the hat, eliminating the rotor judder and pulsation that can develop on fixed-disc designs after repeated heavy brake cycles. The CBN-machined friction surfaces arrive at tighter tolerances than OEM - lateral runout within 0.03mm and balance within 2 grams - resulting in faster pad bed-in and vibration-free pedal feel from installation. Service life is 2-3x that of OEM, and when the friction surface eventually wears, the disc ring is replaced independently while the original hat is retained. The corresponding front left rotor is Alcon DKF2222X758C24L.
