Product Description

The Airaid 255-253 is a Cold Air Dam (CAD) intake system for the 2009-2015 Cadillac CTS-V with the 6.2L supercharged V8. The CAD design uses a set of Cold Air Dam panels mounted in the factory airbox location that seal directly to the underside of the hood via blade-style weatherstripping, isolating the filter from hot engine bay air. This draws cooler, denser outside air through both the factory cold air inlet ducts and additional CAD passages directly to the 360-degree conical filter -- maximizing the temperature differential and delivering greater intake air density to the engine.

The intake tube is constructed from High-Density Cross-Linked Polyethylene and routes air through a Dryflow non-woven synthetic filter that requires no oil for maintenance -- wash with soap and water when cleaning is needed. The OEM filter location is retained for a clean, low-profile install that requires no cutting or drilling and can be completed with common hand tools in under an hour.
