The aFe Takeda TA-3016S is a black powder-coated stainless steel splash shield designed as an optional add-on for the Takeda Attack Stage-2 Cold Air Intake (TA-3016P) on the 2007-2008 Infiniti G35 Sedan, 2008-2013 G37 Coupe/Sedan, 2014-2015 Q40, and 2014-2015 Q60. Its primary function is to deflect water spray away from the 360-degree radial flow Pro DRY S air filter during rainy conditions or wet-road driving, preventing water ingestion that can harm performance and reduce filter service life.

Built-in air slots in the shield maintain adequate cold airflow to the filter, so protection comes without sacrificing intake efficiency. Installation is straightforward - the shield secures directly to the filter assembly using the clamps already included with the TA-3016P intake, requiring no additional tools or hardware. Note that this shield requires the factory front bumper and is not compatible with aftermarket fascias or custom grilles.
