The aFe POWER 55-10012R Super Stock Induction System is a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for MQB-platform Volkswagen and Audi vehicles equipped with the EA888 Gen 3 (EA888.3) engine. It covers the full MK7/MK7.5 Volkswagen GTI (2015-2021), MK7 Golf (1.8T, 2015-2018), Golf R (2015-2019), Golf SportWagen (2015-2019), Golf Alltrack (2017-2019), and Jetta GLI (2019-2021), along with the 8V-generation Audi A3, A3 Quattro, A3 Cabriolet, and S3 (2015-2020). The system replaces the factory intake tube with a dyno-tuned heat-soak-resistant XLPE tube and upgrades the OEM paper air filter with a five-layer oiled Pro 5R performance filter - all while retaining the factory airbox housing for a clean, stock-appearing installation. No ECU retune is required.

The result is a 13% improvement in airflow over stock, with 305 CFM of measured flow at 7" H2O and dyno-proven gains of up to +6 horsepower and +7 lb-ft of torque. The Pro 5R filter's five-layer progressive construction maintains strong airflow even as it accumulates debris, ensuring consistent performance between cleaning cycles. When service is needed, the filter is simply washed and re-oiled with aFe POWER Cleaner and blue filter oil - no replacement required. The stainless-steel clamps and silicone couplings ensure a tight, durable seal throughout, and the entire system installs using factory mounting locations with no cutting or drilling.

This intake is specific to the MQB EA888.3 platform and does not fit the 2022+ generation A3 (8Y), S3 (8Y), Jetta GLI (A7 Facelift), GTI (MK8), or Golf R (MK8) - all of which use the updated EA888.4 engine and a different airbox architecture.
