Product Description

The aFe 54-81162 is a Magnum FORCE Stage-2 Si sealed cold air intake system for the 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma, 2007-2009 FJ Cruiser, and 2003-2009 4Runner equipped with the 4.0L V6 (1GR-FE). This sealed intake system produced dyno-verified gains of up to 13 horsepower and 21 lb-ft of torque while outflowing the factory intake by 119 percent at 189 CFM. The cross-linked polypropylene rotomolded air box fully encloses the filter in a sealed housing with a brushed aluminum cover, pulling cold air from outside the engine compartment through a built-in auxiliary air inlet scoop. A heat-insulating molded polyethylene intake tube replaces the restrictive factory intake tract with improved volumetric efficiency. The included Pro 5R air filter features five layers of progressively finer oiled cotton gauze media in a 360-degree radial flow conical design for maximum airflow and filtration. The filter is washable and reusable with a limited lifetime. Installation is a direct bolt-on using all factory mounting locations with no drilling or cutting required. A Pro DRY S dry filter version is available as aFe 51-81162. Replacement Pro 5R filter is aFe part number 24-91021. Not CARB exempt.
