Product Description

The aFe 54-11521 is a Magnum FORCE Stage-1 cold air intake system designed for the 2006-2008 BMW Z4 M Roadster (E85) and Z4 M Coupe (E86) equipped with the S54 3.2L inline-6 engine. This system replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a massive 5-1/2" conical Pro 5R air filter featuring an inverted top design that mounts directly to a unique 3-angle billet aluminum adapter engineered to smooth and accelerate airflow into the intake tract. A one-piece 16-gauge black powder-coated steel heat shield isolates the filter from engine bay heat, while a black aluminum cover provides additional thermal protection and easy access for filter servicing. In dyno testing, the system produced gains of up to 11 HP and 10 lb-ft of torque while out-flowing the factory intake by 90%. The Pro 5R filter features 5-layer progressive oiled cotton gauze media that is washable and reusable for long-term low-cost maintenance. CARB EO# D-550-38 certified for 50-state legal use.
