The aFe Dynamic Air Scoop (54-12218) is a direct bolt-on intake accessory for 2012-2020 BMW 3-Series and 4-Series models (F3X chassis) equipped with the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It mounts behind the factory kidney bean grille and channels cool, high-velocity front-end air directly into the factory intake snorkel - lowering intake air temperatures and improving throttle response with no drilling or modification to OEM parts.

At its core, the D.A.S. addresses one of the easiest performance gains available for these BMWs: a factory intake snorkel that relies on ambient engine bay air rather than dedicated frontal airflow. By redirecting fresh cold air from outside the engine bay, the scoop is effective standalone or as a complement to an aFe Magnum FORCE Stage-2 intake system (P/N 54-12212 or 51-12212). For owners seeking a more premium look, the carbon fiber version (P/N 54-12218-C) offers the same fitment with a high-gloss clear-coated 2x2 twill-weave finish.
