Fitment Notes

Product Description

The aFe 46-39101 is a complete billet aluminum throttle body replacement for 2018-2025 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L, 2018-2020 Ford F-150 5.0L, and 2020-2022 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty with the 6.2L or 7.3L gas V8. Unlike a throttle body spacer that installs between the factory unit and the manifold, the 46-39101 replaces the factory throttle body entirely - increasing bore diameter from 80mm to 85mm and completely redesigning the internal airflow path from the ground up.

aFe chose 85mm specifically because it aligns directly with the 84mm intake manifold opening, allowing bolt-on installation without manifold modification and without requiring custom tuning - the OEM electronics and gearing mechanism are fully retained. The aerodynamically improved flow path, thin leading edge, and smooth transitions deliver 17% more airflow at wide-open throttle versus stock, translating to dyno-proven gains of up to +17 HP and +15 lbsxft torque. The brass throttle plate prevents galling against the aluminum body for long-term reliability. CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a black anodized finish, laser-etched branding, and individual serialization. Note: 2024 Mustang GT 5.0L requires two units.
