Product Description

The aFe 49-36501 Vulcan Series cat-back exhaust system is a direct bolt-on upgrade for the 2002-2008 Mercedes-Benz G500 equipped with the 5.0L M113 V8 on the W463 chassis. Built entirely from 2-1/2-inch mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing, this dual exhaust system replaces the restrictive factory cat-back section to improve exhaust flow and unlock additional horsepower and torque. The smooth mandrel bends reduce turbulence throughout the system, allowing the naturally aspirated V8 to breathe more efficiently across the entire RPM range.

The system incorporates dual 6-inch round by 18-inch long high-flow mufflers constructed from 304 stainless steel, delivering a deep, authoritative exhaust note characteristic of the M113 V8 while keeping interior cabin drone to a minimum. Every joint is 100% MIG-welded by a certified craftsman at aFe's manufacturing facility in Corona, California, ensuring race-proven strength and long-term durability in all driving conditions. The dual underbody exit design maintains the G500's factory appearance with no visible tip modifications.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the system's use of factory hanger mounting points, requiring no cutting, welding, or modifications to the vehicle. This exhaust is designed exclusively for the 5.0L M113 V8 found in the 2002-2008 G500 and is not compatible with the 2009 and later G550, G55 AMG, or any diesel or V12 G-Class variants.
