Product Description

The Aeromotive 66171 is a stand-alone ReturnX PWM controller purpose-built for extreme-horsepower fuel systems running three or four high-power brushed pumps. It's designed with in-cell, multi-pump setups in mind - the primary output drives a lift and pressure pump, while the secondary output manages the third and fourth pumps - though it will work with any two-, three-, or four-pump configuration.

As with Aeromotive's other ReturnX controllers, all connected pumps operate under PWM control, cutting power draw significantly during idle and cruise compared to running every pump at full duty cycle. This matters more as pump count and horsepower scale up, since high-power multi-pump systems generate substantial heat that can push fuel toward vapor lock, especially in return-style systems where hot engine bay fuel cycles back to the tank.

This controller is intended strictly for forced-induction applications and suits extreme-horsepower builds - typically 1,200+ HP territory - where a single or dual-pump controller can't keep pace with total fuel demand. Builders should size fuel lines accordingly (AN-10 recommended above 1,200 HP) and plan for a traditional return-style regulator and plumbing setup.
