Product Description

The Aeromotive 66172 is a stand-alone ReturnX PWM controller built to drive three brushed fuel pumps in a forced-induction fuel system. It sits between Aeromotive's dual-pump and FourX controllers, giving builders a dedicated triple-pump option without stepping up to full four-pump hardware they don't need.

Like the rest of the ReturnX lineup, all three pumps run under PWM control, cutting power draw substantially during idle and cruise compared to running every pump at full duty cycle continuously. This is particularly valuable in high-horsepower boosted builds, where excess heat from running multiple pumps at full power can push the fuel system toward vapor lock, especially in a return-style setup where hot fuel cycles back through the tank.

This controller is designed for in-cell triple-pump installations - typically a lift/pressure pump on the primary output paired with a second pressure pump on the secondary - and is restricted to forced-induction use. It pairs with a traditional return-style regulator, filters, and return lines rather than a returnless setup.
