Fitment Notes

• The 12635 is a direct replacement service element for the following Aeromotive filter housings: PN 12330, 12335, 12348, 12378, and 12388. It fits any Aeromotive 2-inch OD x 5-1/2-inch long ORB-10 filter housing. Before ordering, confirm your filter housing part number is in this list.
• Includes new housing O-ring. The 12635 ships with a replacement housing O-ring for resealing the filter assembly during service.
• Post-pump use (primary application): The 40-micron rating makes this element ideal as a post-pump filter - positioned downstream of the fuel pump to protect injectors, carburetors, and fuel rails from fine particulates, pump wear debris, and tank contamination. Suitable for electric fuel pumps and mechanical fuel pumps up to 16 GPM.
• Micron rating vs. 12604: The 12635 (40 micron) provides finer filtration than the 12604 (100 micron) and is designed for post-pump installation. The 12604 100-micron element is suited for pre-pump use; the 12635 40-micron element is for post-pump fine filtration. Do not install a 40-micron element as a pre-pump filter - the finer mesh will create excessive restriction that can starve the pump at high flow rates.
• Aeromotive recommends annual inspection and service of filter elements for normal applications. Severe-duty and newly-installed systems may require more frequent service. The micron rating is stamped on the top of the element and can be read by looking into the filter inlet to identify an existing element.
• This product is not legal for sale or use on emission-controlled vehicles except when used as a direct replacement part matching OEM specifications.
