Fitment Notes

• Does NOT fit 2006-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 (7.0L LS7 V8) - the LS7 uses a different clutch system and is not compatible with this disc.
• Does NOT fit 2009-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 (6.2L supercharged LS9 V8) - the ZR1 uses a different clutch system and is not compatible with this disc.
• For Pontiac GTO applications: This disc will NOT work with the stock GTO dual-mass flywheel. A flat flywheel or the ACT 600585 flywheel (for LS2/LS3/LS7 applications) must be used.
• For Corvette LS2/LS3 applications: A flat flywheel or ACT 600585 flywheel is required for proper fitment.
• This disc must be used with a compatible ACT pressure plate (GM015). Pressure plate is not included with the standalone disc.
• This is a race-only clutch disc. ACT does not recommend it for street use. Engagement is significantly more aggressive than organic discs; clutch judder and drivetrain noise at low speeds are expected and normal for this type of component.

The ACT 6280320 is a 6-pad spring-centered ceramic race clutch disc designed for the GM LS-platform - covering the Chevrolet Corvette C5 and C6 (excluding Z06 and ZR1), Chevrolet Camaro Z28/Z28 SS (1998-2002), Chevrolet Trailblazer SS (2006), Pontiac Firebird Formula and Trans Am (1998-2002), and Pontiac GTO (2004-2006). At 11 inches (280mm), this is one of the largest single-disc clutch disc sizes in ACT's lineup, engineered to handle the immense torque output of the LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 V8 engines and the high-horsepower builds commonly built on these platforms. The spring-centered hub construction damps torsional vibrations and reduces drivetrain shock during engagement, making it the preferred race option when some degree of driveline compliance is desired over a fully rigid disc design.

The six ceramic friction pads are rated to hold 28% more torque than equivalent organic materials and are secured with top-grade rivets to the disc carrier. ACT's wraparound spring windows and thickened retainer stampings reinforce the spring assembly against fatigue and structural failure under sustained race-load launches. The disc carries SFI Spec 1.1 certification, meeting the requirements of all racing sanctioning bodies that mandate SFI-approved clutch components. Several critical fitment requirements apply. For Corvette LS2 and LS3 applications, and all Pontiac GTO applications, a flat flywheel or the ACT 600585 flywheel must be used - the stock GTO dual-mass flywheel is incompatible with this clutch system. The disc does not fit the Corvette C6 Z06 (7.0L LS7) or Corvette C6 ZR1 (6.2L LS9 supercharged), which use entirely different clutch systems. This disc is sold as a standalone component; the pressure plate, alignment tool, and any required flywheel must be purchased separately or as part of the complete GM9-HDG6 clutch kit. As with all ACT ceramic race discs, engagement is aggressive - this component is intended for race and high-performance track use, not daily street driving.
