The ACT 600235 XACT Streetlite Flywheel delivers noticeably improved throttle response and acceleration for the Subaru WRX STI and Legacy GT Spec B equipped with the EJ257 turbo engine and 6-speed manual transmission. Weighing just 15.5 lbs versus the approximately 18.9 lb OEM flywheel, this chromoly steel flywheel reduces rotational mass for faster revving, quicker turbo spool-up, and more immediate power delivery. Heat-treated forging and one-piece construction with an induction-hardened integral ring gear ensure strength, toughness, and maximum durability under demanding street and drag racing conditions. Each flywheel is CNC machined from premium forged chromoly steel and dynamically computer balanced within 0.25 oz-in for smooth high-RPM operation. Unlike ultra-lightweight race flywheels, the Streetlite is thick enough to be resurfaced and maintains excellent street manners with only mild gear rattle at idle.
