Product Description

The ACT 6228218 is a standalone 6-pad spring-centered ceramic race clutch disc compatible with ACT kit platforms spanning 1991-2018 Subaru and 2005-2006 Saab 9-2X applications. At 228mm (9") in diameter with a 1" / 24-spline input shaft, it is used as the disc component in ACT kit numbers SB9-HDG6 and SB5-HDG6, and is sold separately for disc replacement without replacing the full clutch assembly.

The 6-pad spring-centered design uses high-quality ceramic friction materials that provide 28% greater friction and torque capacity over organic compounds, while the spring-center construction dampens torsional vibrations for quieter operation than a rigid race disc. ACT's wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings provide spring support and reduce stress concentrations. Computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in for smooth high-RPM reliability. SFI Spec 1.1 certified. Note: 2002-2005 WRX and 2004-2005 Forester XT applications require the ACT flywheel or 2003-2005 WRX OEM flywheel.
