The ACT SB12-HDSS Heavy Duty Performance Street Sprung Clutch Kit is engineered for compatible Subaru WRX and turbocharged Subaru applications requiring greater torque capacity than the original clutch while retaining street-oriented drivability. It combines ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate with a Performance Street sprung organic disc and Prolite flywheel in a 240mm upgrade configuration.

The Heavy Duty pressure plate uses ACT's diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and support extended clutch life. Its four-stage heat-treated diaphragm and precision pressure-plate cover construction improve rigidity and consistency. The Performance Street disc uses premium organic friction material with high copper content for heat transfer, while the steel-backed lining adds strength and durability. Reduced marcel helps provide quicker shift action while maintaining smoother engagement than a ceramic race disc.

The SB12-HDSS provides a 449 lb-ft torque capacity at the crank, representing a 46% increase over OE capacity. The kit is a 240mm upgrade and uses the ACT Prolite flywheel configuration.
