The RockJock CE-9102K Front Axle Housing Johnny Joint Kit replaces the stock rubber upper control arm bushings at the front differential housing on TJ, LJ, XJ, MJ, and ZJ Jeeps with RockJock's greasable Johnny Joint rod ends. For owners already running Johnny Joint control arms, this kit is the piece that finishes the job - once installed, every upper control arm mounting point on the front axle is Johnny Jointed, allowing the front suspension to reach its full range of articulation instead of being limited by stock rubber bushings.

The kit includes a machined Johnny Joint insert for the driver's side gear case ear and a 1 in. thick flame-cut steel tombstone upright, with a Johnny Joint already installed, for the passenger's side tube bracket. Installation involves cutting the top off the stock tube-side bracket and welding the new RockJock upright to the remaining bracket base - rather than welding directly to the axle tube, which avoids introducing heat warpage into the tube itself. Both joints use 7/16 in. greasable through-bolts; builders wanting larger 1/2 in. hardware should look at RockJock's CE-9102K1 instead.

Because this kit requires both cutting and welding equipment to install, it's best suited for builders comfortable with fabrication work or working with a welding shop, rather than a weekend bolt-in upgrade. An installation tool is included to properly seat the Johnny Joint insert during the process.
