Product Description

The MOMO 155 hub adapter connects a MOMO or compatible 6-bolt aftermarket steering wheel to the factory steering column on BMW 1600 and 2002 models. Its aluminum base is splined to match the factory shaft, while the collapsible steel center section is engineered to deform under impact, helping absorb energy in a collision rather than transferring it directly to the driver.

It's a straightforward, direct-fit upgrade for owners restoring or modifying an early BMW 02-series car who want to run a MOMO or Sparco-style wheel instead of the factory unit. Note that installation involves removing the factory wheel and, on airbag-equipped applications generally, disabling any airbag system - this particular hub predates airbag-equipped models, but installers should still confirm horn and turn-signal wiring compatibility, since some rewiring may be needed depending on the car's electrical setup.
