Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal fitment for vehicles with a 5x114.3 (5x4.5") bolt pattern and a hub bore of 73.1mm or smaller (with the use of hub-centric rings where applicable). This wheel fits a wide range of sport compact, sport sedan, and enthusiast vehicles across Honda, Acura, Subaru, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Lexus, and other platforms using the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
  • Enter your year, make, and model into Konig's fitment guide at konigwheels.com to confirm this specific size (18x8.5, +45mm offset) is appropriate for your vehicle before purchasing. Offset and width compatibility vary by vehicle and suspension setup.

Fitment Notes

  • Offset: +45mm (ET45). This is a high positive offset appropriate for front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles with inboard wheel mounting points. Verify that +45mm is within the acceptable offset range for your specific vehicle before ordering - too low an offset can cause tire-to-fender contact or suspension clearance issues; too high can cause hub/caliper clearance issues.
  • Hub bore: 73.1mm. If your vehicle's hub bore is smaller than 73.1mm, this wheel will not fit. If your vehicle's hub bore is larger than 73.1mm, hub-centric rings are required to center the wheel correctly on the hub and prevent vibration. Confirm your vehicle's hub bore before ordering.
  • Backspacing: 6.52". Verify backspacing is sufficient for your vehicle's suspension and brake components, particularly if running lowered suspension or aftermarket brake calipers.
  • Exposed lug design - this wheel uses exposed (non-capped) lug nuts. Verify that your vehicle's lug nuts are compatible with the wheel's lug seat type (typically a conical/tapered seat for aftermarket wheels). Using incorrect lug nuts can damage the wheel and create a safety hazard.
  • Sold individually - one wheel per order. Four wheels are required for a complete set.

Features

  • Flow Form construction - Konig's manufacturing process begins with a cast aluminum wheel center, then applies high-pressure hydraulic rollers to the barrel under heat, stretching and compressing the aluminum to the final barrel width and shape. This refines the aluminum grain structure in the barrel, producing a wheel that is significantly lighter and stronger than a traditional gravity-cast design without the cost of full forging
  • Flow Form technology produces a wheel with greater elongation and impact resistance versus cast - the stretched barrel grain structure resists cracking and deformation under the lateral and impact loads of performance driving, track use, and aggressive street driving
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) engineering - Konig uses FEA simulation software to run hundreds of virtual impact, bending, and stress test variations before physical prototype production, optimizing wall thickness, spoke geometry, and material distribution to minimize weight while maximizing strength in the highest-stress areas of the wheel structure
  • A Profile design - the Ampliform A Profile features a flatter spoke face optimized for enhanced big brake kit clearance, compatibility with higher positive offsets, and broad vehicle fitment across FWD and AWD platforms. The A Profile's flatter face provides more caliper clearance behind the spoke than a deeply concave design
  • Mesh-inspired 6-spoke split spoke design - each of the 6 structural spokes is split symmetrically, creating a 12-spoke visual appearance that is bold and structured without becoming cluttered. The spokes are elevated at the outer barrel edge, drawing the eye outward to the wheel's rim face and creating visual depth without additional weight
  • Gloss Bronze finish - a warm metallic bronze tone with a glossy clear coat that complements a wide range of vehicle colors, from white and silver to black and dark finishes; distinct from the darker, more neutral Dark Metallic Graphite variant also available in this size
  • One-piece construction - the wheel center and barrel are a single integrated unit with no welds, fasteners, or bonding interfaces that could introduce weakness or failure points under load
  • Non-directional design - the Ampliform is not rotation-specific, allowing wheels to be mounted in any orientation and swapped between axles without requiring a specific left/right assignment

Product Description

The Konig AM88514458 is the Ampliform in 18x8.5, 5x114.3, +45mm offset, Gloss Bronze finish. It is a one-piece Flow Formed aluminum wheel weighing 18.44 lbs, sold individually. Confirm vehicle fitment, offset compatibility, hub bore, and lug seat type before ordering.

The Ampliform is Konig's mesh-inspired Flow Form wheel, engineered for performance street and track use across the wide range of vehicles using the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Flow Forming - Konig's proprietary process of applying high-pressure hydraulic rollers to a cast center under heat to stretch the barrel - produces a wheel that is meaningfully lighter and more impact-resistant than a comparable gravity-cast design. The refined aluminum grain structure in the Flow Formed barrel resists the cracking and deformation that cast barrels are prone to under the lateral loads and road impacts of spirited driving. Finite Element Analysis guides every Ampliform design through hundreds of virtual stress simulations before physical production, ensuring material is placed where it provides structural benefit and removed where it does not - the basis of the Ampliform's competitive weight at this size and construction method.

The A Profile's flatter spoke face is designed specifically for brake kit clearance and high-offset fitment compatibility - important for FWD and AWD platforms where positive offset is required and big brake kits demand spoke clearance behind the face. The symmetrical 6-spoke split design creates a 12-spoke visual appearance with structural depth at the outer barrel edge. Lug nuts and hub-centric rings are sold separately - confirm lug seat type and hub bore requirements for your specific vehicle before finalizing the purchase.
