Product Description

The Exergy E05-10205 is a direct-replacement inlet metering valve for the 2004.5-2005 Duramax LLY, addressing the fuel control actuator (also known as the FCA or MPROP) that regulates fuel flow into the CP3 high-pressure pump. Age and poor fuel quality can cause the factory spool valve to wear and travel inconsistently, leading to symptoms like idle lope, surging under load, or noticeable rail pressure fluctuations.

As a core component of the high-pressure fuel system, a failing MPROP can cause serious drivability issues if left unaddressed, and Exergy builds this replacement to the same cleanliness and assembly standards as its broader Duramax fuel system lineup. A professional diagnosis is recommended beforehand to confirm the MPROP is the actual source of the issue before replacement.
