Product Description

The Eaton 14235-1 ELocker is an electronic, selectable locking differential engineered specifically for late-model Toyota Tacoma rear beam axles. It provides full locking capability under both forward and reverse load, activated via a driver-operated switch, giving you traction when and where you need it. Internally, it uses net-forged components and 32-spline axle architecture for strength, matched to the OEM 8.9-inch ring gear axle setup. This makes it ideal for off-road, towing, or everyday driving with improved grip and reliability over open differentials.

Installation is relatively straightforward if your Tacoma has the correct rear beam axle spec (32 splines, required carrier bearing bore). You may need to replace or verify the carrier bearings (some OEM ones are 53 mm ID) to ensure proper fit. Only rear beam axle applications are applicable; front ends with independent suspension or different locking schemes are excluded. Performance improvements with this differential are especially noticeable in low traction situations - mud, gravel, snow, and incline starts.
