Product Description

The Eaton 19660-010 is an ELocker electromagnetic selectable locking differential for the Ford 8.8" rear axle (C-clip) in 31-spline / 1.32" shaft diameter applications -- covering Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury passenger cars from 1983-1986, and Ford small trucks, minivans, SUVs, half-ton trucks, and vans from 1983-2011, across all gear ratios. The ELocker solves the core limitation of both open and automatic locking differentials: it operates as a fully open differential during normal driving for smooth cornering and tire wear, and converts to a 100% locked differential instantly at the push of a dash-mounted rocker switch when traction is needed.

Locking is electromagnetic -- no compressed air, vacuum lines, or cable actuation required. The 2-pinion net-forged gear design provides greater strength than cast gear alternatives. The lock engages and releases quickly and works in both forward and reverse. The Eaton NGR rocker switch and wiring harness are included; dash wiring to the axle is required for installation. Suitable for light trail, sand sports, rock crawling, and work truck/towing duty per Eaton's own application ratings.
