Product Description

The AMS Performance AMS.55.08.0001-1 Turbo Inlet Tubes are engineered to eliminate the factory airflow bottleneck ahead of the twin turbochargers on the 2021-2026 Ford F-150 and Raptor 3.5L EcoBoost. The OEM plastic inlet tubes were identified by AMS's SnailWorks® Engineering Team as a major restriction point, with an inlet diameter of roughly 40 mm that limits how much air can reach the compressor covers. The AMS tubes expand this to approximately 65 mm - a cross-sectional area increase of up to 158% - with organically shaped flow paths designed to minimize turbulence through directional changes.

Validated on AMS's MAF-based flowbench and tested on a 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor using a 19-sensor MoTeC data acquisition system, these tubes delivered up to 2.6 PSI less inlet restriction and a 42.4% reduction in pressure drop at the compressor covers versus OEM. Lower inlet restriction allows the turbos to reach target boost at lower shaft speeds, reducing compressor outlet temps, exhaust gas temps, and overall turbocharger stress - while creating headroom for higher power levels when tuned. The AMS Turbo Inlet Tubes retain all OEM connections and integrate with both the factory airbox and most aftermarket intake systems for a clean, professional installation.
