The Alta AMP-INT-205BK is the black silicone inlet hose for the ALTA Cold Air Intake System, designed for 2002-2008 MINI Cooper S (R53 Hatchback and R52 Convertible) equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission. It serves as the connecting piece between the cold air intake airbox and the throttle body, replacing the factory corrugated rubber hose that creates turbulence and restricts airflow at the supercharger inlet.

Unlike the OEM hose - which is ribbed and corrugated on the interior - the ALTA silicone hose features a mirror-smooth inside surface that promotes higher air velocity and eliminates turbulence. Its larger inside diameter also ensures the supercharger has adequate air supply at all boost levels, supporting improved throttle response and upper-end power.
