• Universal - compatible with any turbocharged vehicle. No vehicle-specific installation required; works with any wastegate-equipped forced induction system.

Fitment Notes

• The Tru-BoostX operates by controlling a boost solenoid plumbed between the turbocharger's boost reference port and the wastegate actuator. It is compatible with external and internal wastegates on any turbocharged application regardless of make, model, or engine configuration.
• The boost control solenoid included in this kit uses -4 AN fittings and is pressure-tested to 100 PSI, making it suitable for high-boost applications. It is specifically manufactured to resist corrosion from exposure to rich fuel mixtures - a common failure point on generic solenoids used in boost control applications.
• The gauge fits any standard 2-1/16" (52mm) gauge pod or panel mount. At 0.825" overall depth and 0.200" cup depth, it is compatible with shallow gauge pods where deeper gauges would not fit.
• The default configuration is black bezel with black face. The silver bezel and white faceplate accessory kit (PN 30-0352-ACC) is available separately for a different visual presentation.
• The solenoid duty cycle range is 10%-90% at 30 Hz. Each vehicle application requires calibration of the boost controller during initial setup, as the amount of duty cycle required to achieve a specific boost target varies by turbocharger, wastegate, and boost piping configuration. No laptop is required - setup is completed entirely via the faceplate buttons.
• This product replaces the original Classic Digital Tru-Boost gauge (PN 30-4350), which has been discontinued. The Tru-BoostX is the current-generation successor with AEMnet, an upgraded MAP sensor, and an improved center LED display.

Features

• The Tru-BoostX combines a functional electronic boost controller with a real-time digital boost display in a single 52mm gauge. There is no separate controller box or external interface to mount - the gauge head contains the MAP sensor, solenoid driver, programming interface, and AEMnet output in one compact unit.
• The on-board 80 PSIg MAP sensor supports boost targets from 0 to 80 PSI - sufficient for everything from mild street turbos to extreme high-boost race applications. Boost pressure, vacuum, and atmospheric data can be displayed in PSIg, BAR, or kPa to suit the user's preference.
• Two independent boost levels (Mode 1 and Mode 2) can be programmed and switched on the fly. A third scramble boost setting provides a timed burst of higher boost controlled by a switched input - useful for applications such as a push-to-pass button or a gear-shifted boost strategy. The controller can also be disabled entirely to run as a passive boost display only.
• Wastegate crack pressure (the pressure at which the wastegate begins to open) is independently adjustable, allowing tuning of boost spool characteristics and spike reduction separately from the target boost level.
• Overboost protection is built in with two timed shutdown levels. If boost exceeds the programmed overboost threshold, the solenoid is shut off and the gauge alerts the driver. The controller does not automatically reactivate - it requires manual button input on the faceplate to clear, preventing unintentional continuation of an overboost condition.
• Integrated error protection monitors the solenoid for short circuits or disconnection and displays a fault alert if detected - eliminating guesswork about whether the boost controller is functioning correctly during operation.
• AEMnet CAN bus output transmits 13 channels of boost-related data over a 2-wire connection to any compatible AEM data logger or display, including boost pressure, peak boost, boost target, scramble duty cycle, overboost status, wastegate crack pressure, and boost control solenoid status. This makes the Tru-BoostX a direct input source for AEM's data logging ecosystem without requiring an additional pressure sensor.
• The X-Series gauge face features a programmable center LED that is 87% larger than the original AEM gauges, plus 24 green outer LEDs that sweep and can be set to flash as a visual alarm at a user-defined overboost threshold. The outer LEDs are scalable to match the system's peak boost range for a smooth, full-sweep reference.
• A low-side ground output is included for triggering an optional external warning light when the overboost condition is detected.

The AEM 30-0352 is the X-Series Tru-BoostX Gauge-Type Electronic Boost Controller Kit - the current-generation successor to AEM's original Tru-Boost gauge and the direct replacement for the discontinued Classic Digital Tru-Boost (30-4350). It combines a fully functional electronic boost controller, an 80 PSIg digital boost display, and AEMnet CAN bus data logging output into a single 52mm gauge unit that requires no external controller box, no laptop for programming, and no additional boost pressure sensor if the vehicle is already integrated into AEM's data logging ecosystem.

The core functional capability is the ability to program two independent boost target levels and a time-based scramble boost mode, all adjustable via the faceplate buttons without removing the gauge from the dash.
