The BBK Performance 1700 is the Power Plus Series 70mm throttle body engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for the 1996-2004 Ford Mustang GT with the 4.6L SOHC 2V V8. The factory throttle body on these Mustangs is a well-documented restriction - the BBK 1700 replaces it with a 70mm bore unit that delivers up to 30% more airflow to the engine, producing a documented gain of 7-12 rear-wheel horsepower depending on the vehicle configuration and supporting modifications.
