Fitment Notes

  • A related SKU (530000, housing only without thermostat) is listed by Granatelli as fitting 2014-2025 LT1/LT2/LT4/LT5 - this specific 530180B listing consistently shows only 2014-2020 across sources. Confirm current-year LT5 compatibility directly with Granatelli before ordering for a newer vehicle

  • Widely used in LS/LT engine swap applications, not just factory GM vehicles

Product Description

Granatelli's billet thermostat housing replaces the factory plastic unit on GM LT engines with a stronger, better-sealing aluminum piece, finished in black for a cleaner engine bay look. The included 180° thermostat keeps coolant temps closer to a factory-style operating range than the 160° version, better suited to street-driven cars that want the durability upgrade without changing warm-up behavior or cabin heat output.

Like its 160° sibling, it's a popular fitment on Corvettes, Camaros, and CTS-Vs, but also shows up regularly in LT-based engine swaps into other chassis, since the LT housing bolt pattern stays consistent regardless of the vehicle it ends up in.
