Product Description

The Garrett 934173-5009S is a G-XRace GXR38-64 supercore built around a 64mm compressor inducer with a clamped hose (CH) compressor outlet, rated for 500-1,250 HP on engines from 2.0L to 6.0L. Garrett's XBoost compressor aero delivers 23% greater flow than the G40-900, while the dual ceramic ball bearing CHRA and Inconel turbine wheel are built for rapid spool and reliable performance under extreme boost.

The lightweight aluminum backplate reduces rotating assembly inertia for quicker response, and the CH outlet allows flexible silicone hose charge piping connections - a common choice where piping routing needs some flexibility versus a rigid V-Band joint. As a supercore, this unit requires a separately sold matching turbine housing (choose from 0.85-1.06 A/R options in T4 divided or V-Band inlet configurations) and an external wastegate to complete the turbocharger.
