Fitment Notes

• Fits 1990-2004 Ford Mustang only - the 1990 model year introduced an airbag and updated steering column spline; this hub is NOT compatible with 1979-1989 Fox Body Mustangs (pre-airbag column)
• Does NOT fit 2005+ Ford Mustang (S197 platform) - use NRG SRK-175H for 2005+ applications
• Includes resistors - required for proper horn function on Ford applications with airbag clock spring wiring
• Turn signal stalk function is retained; however, the automatic turn signal cancelling function will be disabled upon installation - the turn signal lever must be manually cancelled after turns
• NOT compatible with the NRG Thin Quick Release (SRK-400 series) or NRG Quick Tilt system
• Compatible with all standard NRG Gen 2.0, 2.5, and 2.8 quick releases
• Horn button is not included - required separately when using a quick release
• Installation will disable the factory SRS airbag system - for off-road and track use only

The NRG SRK-179H is a vehicle-specific short hub adapter engineered for the 1990-2004 Ford Mustang, covering the final Fox Body years (1990-1993), the SN95 generation (1994-1998), and the New Edge facelift (1999-2004). It provides the critical link between the Ford factory steering column spline and an NRG quick release unit, enabling a full aftermarket steering wheel setup while keeping the wheel positioned as close as possible to the factory location. A key distinction of this hub over earlier Mustang hubs is its inclusion of resistors - necessary to maintain compatibility with the Ford airbag clock spring circuit introduced in 1990, preventing unwanted warning lights from appearing on the instrument cluster after installation.

Machined as a single solid piece from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum and finished with a durable black anodize, the SRK-179H delivers a rigid, zero-play connection between the steering column and the quick release. While the turn signal stalk remains functional after installation, the automatic turn signal cancelling mechanism will be disabled, requiring drivers to manually cancel turn signals after completing a turn.
