Product Description

The Granatelli 28-1818HS is the Hot Street Series coil-on-plug kit for the 2018-2025 Ford Mustang GT and 2018-2021 Ford F-150 with the Gen 3 5.0L Coyote 4V engine. This is a Gen 3-specific kit -- the 2018 Coyote redesign changed the coil connector architecture, making it incompatible with earlier Gen 1 and Gen 2 kits (2011-2017). The Hot Street series outputs 50,000 volts with Granatelli's patented zero-ohm resistance connector design, delivering more consistent spark energy across all 8 cylinders for improved combustion efficiency, reduced misfires, and sharper throttle response from cold starts through sustained high-RPM use.

The kit replaces both the coils and the connectors -- addressing the most common ignition failure point on the Gen 3 Coyote -- with stainless steel snap-lock plug connectors, EMI/RFI shielded cable, and 500°F-rated silicone boots. Plug-and-play installation with no ECU tuning required. OBD-II safe -- no fault codes generated. Suitable for naturally aspirated and lightly boosted applications. F-150 fitment is 2018-2021 only; 2022+ F-150 uses an updated coil design. Does not fit GT350, GT500, or EcoBoost variants. Cannot be shipped to California.
