The XP Tri-Metal construction layers copper-lead material with a nickel plate barrier and Babbitt overlay, finished with King's pMaxKote nano-composite polymer coating for improved break-in and durability.

A 45-degree chamfer on the crank cheek side and increased crush height improve bearing-to-bore contact and heat transfer while reducing spin potential at high RPM. Wall thickness is held to a tight +/- .0001in tolerance, and the STDX sizing provides slightly more oil clearance than standard bearings, so confirm this size matches your crankshaft journal spec before installing.
