The Yukon YG F8.8-456 is a high-performance 4.56 ring and pinion set for the Ford 8.8-inch rear axle, covering a wide range of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from 1979 through 2011. The 4.56 ratio is one of the deepest available for the 8.8 -- ideal for large tire builds and off-road applications that demand maximum low-end torque. Yukon uses state-of-the-art gear geometry and advanced heat-treating to achieve a precision surface finish that reduces friction and heat under sustained high-torque conditions.

Before ordering, verify your pinion spline count -- this set uses a 30-spline pinion. Because the 4.56 ratio is numerically higher than 4.45, the ring gear requires modification to clear the differential cross shaft, and a notched cross pin shaft is required.
