The Eaton 14218-1 ELocker differential is a front locking differential designed specifically for Toyota vehicles equipped with the 7.5" independent front suspension (IFS) clamshell housing and 27-spline axles between model years **1995/1996 through 2004**. It provides selectable locking: you drive with an open differential for everyday use, and with a flick of a button you engage full lock for off-road, towing, or low traction situations.

This unit features net-forged internal gears, which improve strength and durability under heavy load compared to standard open diffs. It also requires the factory large hub bearing (50 mm) to interface properly, and the clamshell housing is mandatory. Installation requires removal of the OEM differential, matching spline shafts, correct bearing, verifying gear ratio, and ensuring electrical connections for the locker switch.
