Product Description

The KYB KG4513 is a high-pressure Gas-a-Just monotube front shock absorber covering a wide range of classic GM rear-wheel drive platforms from 1968 through 1991 - spanning A-body, G-body, and select other RWD architectures used across Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. The Gas-a-Just monotube design delivers up to 25% more damping force than the original factory twin-tube shocks these vehicles left the factory with, making it both an OE replacement for monotube-equipped applications and a genuine performance upgrade for twin-tube ones. Valving is specifically calibrated for the suspension geometry of classic GM platforms, improving steering response and reducing front-end dive and body roll.

The two-chamber monotube design keeps oil and gas permanently separated by a floating piston, eliminating aeration and the performance fade that plagues twin-tube designs under sustained or demanding use. The triple chrome-plated piston rod minimizes friction and extends seal life. Sold individually - two required per vehicle. Replaces OEM part numbers 69600 and 5840.
