The Turbosmart BOV Controller (TS-0304-1003) is an electronic controller and hardware kit designed to enable blow-off valve operation on diesel engines and other forced induction applications that generate low or no intake manifold vacuum. Conventional BOVs and diverter valves rely on a vacuum signal from the intake manifold to actuate - a signal that diesel and many performance petrol applications cannot reliably produce. The Turbosmart BOV Controller solves this problem by monitoring the throttle pedal position signal directly. When a negative voltage change is detected - indicating a throttle lift - the controller immediately energises the solenoid, venting air from the BOV cap and creating the pressure differential needed to open and vent the valve. The result is fast, reliable BOV actuation on every lift-off and between every gear change, eliminating compressor surge and protecting the turbocharger.

Two user-adjustable controls give installers the ability to dial in the controller precisely for their application.
