• 2009+ Gen III HEMI only - three engine families covered: 5.7L Eagle VCT (2009+); 6.4L Apache/392 ESG/ESH (2011+); 6.2L Hellcat/Demon/Redeye ESD/ESJ (2014+). Does NOT fit the 2003-2008 Pre-Eagle 5.7L (use 5M2220HX-STD) or the 6.1L SRT8.

Sharing the same standard main journal diameter as the 5M2221H-STD, the HX variant uses a slightly thinner wall (~0.013mm per shell) to deliver approximately 0.025mm (0.001") of additional running oil clearance without any crankshaft modification.

The HX variant is the preferred choice for builders pushing the 6.2L Hellcat and 6.4L Apache platforms to their limits - where supercharger boost, high cylinder pressure, and sustained wide-open throttle place exceptional demands on the crankshaft bearing oil film.
