Product Description

The SPC Performance 89499 is a heavy-duty zinc alloy axle shim set designed to correct caster on any solid axle RWD or 4WD vehicle with leaf spring suspension. These shims are inserted between the axle perch and the leaf spring pack to wedge the axle forward or rearward, correcting caster angles that shift after a lift kit installation, heavy-duty load use, or general suspension wear. At a 2° taper, the 89499 delivers direct caster correction and is part of SPC's complete Uni-Wedge shim series, which spans from ½° (89199) all the way to 4° (89899), allowing precise stacking and combining for any correction needed.

The double breakaway design is what sets this shim apart - a single shim fits 3", 3.5", and 4" wide leaf springs by simply breaking off the outer tabs to match the spring width. This eliminates the need to stock multiple part numbers for different spring sizes. Each set includes 6 shims, providing enough hardware to service multiple vehicles or stock a shop efficiently. The heavy-duty zinc alloy construction is built to handle the weight and stress demands of trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles in daily and demanding use.
